Here's an excerpt from our rehearsal with piano, bass and drums--the song "Joyful, Joyful" from Sister Act 2. It epitomizes the joy that we have incorporated into our concert, which is one week away on Saturday, Oct 27, 2012. These musicians are a truly gifted group! We so appreciate our Labyrinth accompanist Suzanne Sheppard, and are grateful to our bassist Matthew Berlin and percussionist Jonathan Hess in joining us for our "Maximum Joy" concerts.

I wanted to upload one of the audience participation songs for our next concert in less than two weeks. In this clip, Labyrinth Choir is singing "What a Wonderful World." It's a fantastic song that reflects the positive mindset, which fits into the theme: "Maximum Joy!"
Labyrinth Choir's two concerts will take place on Sat, Oct 27 at 7:30 pm at the First Congregational Church in Natick and on Sat, Nov 3rd at 7:30 pm at Hancock Church in Lexington, MA. Please join us for a concert that will keep you singing the music for days to come!

We just had our first rehearsal for the new season on Tuesday. It was so exciting to start working on songs for our theme "Maximum Joy!" We rehearsed Whitacre's "Little Man in a Hurry," Brahms' "Lass dich nur nichts," Basler's "Sanctus" and a wonderful Spanish song as well as a traditional S. African song. All of our songs will reflect the research on optimism. It's been so much fun to put this concert together because the research shows that optimism really makes our lives more enjoyable and satisfying. If you want to know more, come to our concert!!!
